Ministry Fair

This is a heads up to all of our ministry team leaders!

On the weekend of May 10/11, as part of the service, we're hosting a ministry fair. What that would involve is this:

- Each ministry will be assigned a table in Venue 2. Ministry leaders need to RSVP to Tony to let him know that your team IS participating!

- Each table should have some sort of display (of your own creation) about your ministry.

- Each table should have some sort of simple, one-page flyer telling about your ministry, what it involves, what it needs, and how to be involved in it (pre-reqs and such). Contact info is good, too!

- We're gonna let each service out early so that people can tour the displays after the service. You need to have your table staffed after all three services, too, so if you need to recruit help, start doing it now!

It's pretty simple, but we want people to have a scheduled event where they can see what we do and how to join.

Thanks for all you do!

Inclement Weather Plan

As you may have noticed, we have entered that fun-weather time of year, we want to make sure you know how to learn about how the weather affects our events!

With three weekend worship services, the likelihood of canceling an entire weekend is not high, so you’ll want to keep up with which specific services or events might be canceled or postponed due to weather.

Should the weather appear dangerously threatening, we will do our best to make decisions about event/service postponements or cancellations not less than two hours BEFORE the scheduled event.

When a decision is made to postpone or cancel an event or service, we will…

- send out an eMail to everyone on our list;

- post it on our www.go-adventure.org website;

- put it on our church voicemail newsline: 563.391.6707.

- ask you to call your friends to make sure they know, too! :)

The Prayer Cross

We’ve added a new place for you to share your prayers with others who can pray with you! Add them to the big cross on the end of Venue 1!

Write them yourself at home, use the materials we provide near the cross, or eMail them to: prayercross@Adventurecommunity.org. (We'll remove any identifying marks from the eMail.)

Prayers may then be affixed to the cross using the provided hammer and nails to lightly tack them in place.

There are some simple guidelines:

- Written prayers may be requests or offerings of gratitude.

- Prayers should not include the writer’s name.

- Discretion should be used to avoid revealing confidential or libelous information.

- Prayers may not be used as means to manipulate others or to acquire funds from readers.

- The Pastor Staff reserve the right to remove any prayer for any reason.
