If you’ve got the heart, we’ve got the job for you!

We have job positions for adults (both men and women) who have an eagerness to be a leader or a helper. We even have jobs for our young Adventurer’s (12 and older).

In our Nursery department, our volunteers work together as a team providing loving care to our littlest ones. This team spends it’s time, rocking, playing, and reading. Yes, there are occasional diapering moments. If you love babies, you’ll enjoy the Nursery.

In our Preschool through Tween classrooms our volunteer teams lead kids through various activities and crafts that allow children to discover God on their level. These classrooms have both lead teachers and classroom helpers. As a lead teacher, your job would be overseeing the class and presenting the lesson. As a classroom helper, your job would be assisting the leader with activities and providing an “extra set of hands” to help keep kids focused and on task.

AdventureLand is also fortunate to have a strong staff of men and women who provide security for our children’s department. These volunteers roam halls, check bathroom, handle discipline issues, and generally keep a watchful eye out for all our kids and volunteers.

When kids reach 12 years old they’re able to enroll in our KICS program. These young people provide great energy to our program and the added help we need.

What It Takes To Be A Volunteer

• All AdventureLand volunteer must be a faithful attendee of Adventure for a minimum of 6 months.*
• It’s important that our volunteers make a commitment to be a Christ-follower and live out the evidence of that commitment in their everyday moral life. Do you have to be perfect? No. None of us are, but we’re doing our best everyday to become the person God wants us to be.
• Each volunteer 18 and older must be willing to submit to a background check. We’re not looking at your credit score or how many speeding tickets you’ve had! We also know that many Adventurer’s have a past life. We look at each application and consider them on an individual basis. Our main focus is protecting kids from sex offenders and persons with violent, criminal backgrounds.
• Kids 12-18 years can volunteer to serve as classroom helpers in our Nursery and Preschool classrooms. These kids also need to have a consistent church attendance for a minimum of 6 months, and must have exceptional behavior and exhibit qualities beneficial to our ministry. Kids volunteering must bring a letter/reference from a coach, scout leader, or school teacher.

*Security Team volunteers must have a minimum attendance of two years, involvement in a small group or accountability group, and be able to provide 2 references within the church.
